Plasmodium Technologies Private Limited (“Simplivet”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a veterinary practice management software application designed for use by licensed veterinary clinics and their authorized personnel.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when veterinary clinics and their authorized users access or use the Simplivet mobile application and related services (the “Services”).
The Services are intended for use by veterinary professionals and clinic staff. They are not intended for use by the general public or by children under the age of 13.
2. Roles and Responsibilities
Simplivet provides software infrastructure to veterinary clinics.

Veterinary clinics are the data controllers of pet medical records and client (pet owner) information entered into the platform.

Simplivet acts as a data processor, processing such data solely on behalf of and under the instructions of the clinic.
Clinics are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from pet owners or clients before entering or sharing their information using the Services.

We use Mixpanel to collect aggregated usage analytics to understand feature usage and improve product functionality. We do not intentionally transmit medical notes or treatment content to analytics systems.
G. Payment Information
Simplivet does not currently process or store payment card information within the mobile or web application.

When information is transmitted through third-party communication platforms (such as email providers, SMS networks, or WhatsApp), those platforms’ privacy and security practices apply. Simplivet does not control and is not responsible for the independent practices of such third-party communication services once data is transmitted outside our infrastructure.
Clinics are responsible for ensuring that communications sent to pet owners comply with applicable laws and consent requirements.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may share information with trusted service providers solely to operate and improve the Services, including:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting (Mumbai Region, India)

Amazon SES or related AWS services for email delivery

Gupshup for SMS and WhatsApp message delivery

Following account termination and expiration of any retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized, subject to backup retention cycles and applicable legal requirements.
Clinics are responsible for determining appropriate retention periods for medical records in accordance with applicable regulations.
9. International Data Transfers
Primary data hosting occurs in the Amazon Web Services Mumbai Region (India).
In certain circumstances, data may be processed by service providers in other jurisdictions. Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Data Subject Rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights, including:

Because clinics control medical records and client data, requests relating to veterinary records should be directed to the respective clinic. Simplivet will assist clinics in fulfilling such requests where required.

11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for use by licensed veterinary clinics and professionals. They are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the application and on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
